Iomega I-Connect Wireless Data Station takes USB storage devices that you already have turned it into memory, you can access from anywhere in your network. Could, depending on network traffic, you get the same performance you from the rule-attached storage. USB printer or a media server can also be connected, plus it is a copy utility that you can replicate the data from one device to another. iomega.com

| Review by John F. Macdonald (Norfolk, VA) 2010-01-06 I purchased this device 12/06/09, and on 01/05/10 I had to return it. The device was purchased to provide backup for a new notebook computer. I bought two WD 500GB HDs for it, and installation was brillaintly simple. For the next month I became accustomed to wireless storage/retrieval without having to concern myself with reorting t... | Review by Alger W. Wolfe Jr. (Houston) 2010-03-03 This is a great quality drive and is SO easy to setup. I am VERY happy with this drive. The only thing I found that could use work (and probably on the Windows side) is that rebooting Windows 7 and having the drive set to auto power will not boot up Windows 7. Switch the power switch to always on and Windows 7 will boot up fine. Thi... Read more LaCie 301352U 2TB reviews | ||

| Review by The Armchair Expert (pleasanton, ca USA) 2010-02-02 Occasionally a technically sophisticated product comes along whose installation and use thrills me for its simplicity. The Netgear ReadyNAS 2110 is one of those. I bought it with 2 additional 1.5TB WDC drives so I could implement a 2-drive RAID + offsite storage strategy for my music and home videos. Although I'm a techie and would've survived a... Read more Netgear ReadyNAS Duo reviews | ||

| Review by Greg Coley (USA) 2010-02-01 This NAS device is one of the best devices available for the money, although does require you know something about networking to fully utilize. If you have that knowledge though, there isn't much this device cannot do for you. It has features to accommodate home and business needs, with excellent help and support features.... | Review by RWH (Atlanta, GA) 2010-02-27 Installation was easy enough although the documentation could have been enhanced and somewhat clearer. It produces no noise and seems fast enough on moving files. I have not streamed video from the drive and it was not my basis for picking the drive. I have had some issues with the included QuikProtect software and had to disable this feature. ... Read more Iomega Home Media reviews | ||

| Review by Joseph E. Russo (Jackson, NJ United States) 2010-02-04 I like the product. But beware, Amazon sells used items as new. Proof: on the CD there was a stick-it note that said CD is warped. Sure enough, the CD is warped. Someone obviously returned this item because of the warped CD and Amazon resold it to me, with the warped CD and the sticky note, as new. Further proof: the taped seal on the box was ... Read more D-Link 2-Bay Network reviews | ||

| Review by DJ (USA) 2010-02-17 I'm fairly technical, my experience is that it takes a lot of fiddling with your network and firewalls to get this product to connect to client PC's, and then it's very flakey, works for a few days and then doesn't, I'm not sure why, I don't think WD knows either. Ultimately its lack of reliability defeats the purpose and leaves its owner frustra... Read more Western Digital My reviews | ||

| Review by N. Defoe (GR, MI) 2010-03-02 I am coming to the EX490 from a Synology DS207+ Basically I made this move primarily to add more storage, but also because I wanted the ability to remote desktop into the server and have access to more advanced apps/features that way. On some level that choice is biting back. Getting all of the basic functionality working... Read more HP EX490 1TB reviews | ||

| Review by B. Cole (Layton, Utah United States) 2010-02-04 I have loved these devices. For work we use them to back-up De-duplicated virtual machine block data and then use the rsync (synology calls this network backup) to backup changes over the Internet. For that purpose we used DS209 II devices. I liked it so much I bought this device (DS210j) for home. There are some subtle differences between the two ... | Review by MCDigitalMedia (FL) 2010-03-10 Absolutely worthless media functions!!!! Great as a NAS storage device! In fact, this is the only reason you should buy this product. Even with the 3.2.1.34990 release in Mar 2010, streaming of media via Web or other compatible device is pointless, extremely painful and next to impossible. Appears no research was done prior to the release. Media co... Read more HP EX495 1.5TB reviews | ||
